Poop
Poop

This story starts with poop. I wish it didn’t, but here we are. I’m a self-taught game developer—more of a Padawan wannabe at best—who jumped at a gig my twin sister hooked me up with: working as a lab assistant in a hospital laboratory. One of the perks of the job is tuition reimbursement for school, as long as you stick around long enough (I’m about to start soon). But let’s be real: healthcare can be stressful. Sometimes messy, too—like dealing with poop.

Every year, we’re required to set workplace goals. And because I have this incurable habit of seeing games in everything I touch or do, I somehow managed to convince a team of microbiologists to let me create a game to help lab assistants with plate identification. To my shock and amazement, they actually agreed!

And thus, SHINOBI was born. Well… sort of.
